Jeans and Trousers

The denim exists to sit under the knitwear, and the cuts follow that: high waisted, so a cropped sweater has something to meet, and roomy through the leg so a chunky knit is not the only loose thing you are wearing.

Barrel legs curve out at the thigh and taper at the ankle. Straight legs fall from the hip. Flares open below the knee. The page for each pair says which it is and how long the inseam runs.

Denim here has stretch in it, and that is the reason the waistband stays put and the knee eventually does not. Wash cold and hang if you want the first shape to last a season.

These are not tailored trousers and there is no crease to press. They are the jeans a sweater is worn with.
